Single Family Textile Collection

Help find a new life for your old textiles. Textile pickups can be scheduled the first full weeks of January, April, July and October. All donations support Recycle For Change, a nonprofit that recycles clothing and shoes to protect the planet and promote global sustainability.

Textile Pickup

Please call at least 7 days in advance to notify AVI that you have textiles to be collected.

AVI offers free curbside textile recycling for Dublin single-family residents during the first full week of July, October, January, and April. Participation is simple:

  • Call AVI at 925-479-9545 at least 7 days in advance to schedule pickup.
  • There is no additional fee for this service.
  • Place accepted textiles in a clear plastic bag.
    • Only textiles that are contained in a clear bag will be collected.
    • All items must be dry.
  • Set bags at the curb by 6 AM on collection day.
    • Bags must be visible at the curb.
    • Do not place textiles on or behind your carts.
  • A separate driver will collect textile bags.
  • Residents will not receive a tax-deductible receipt.

Acceptable & Unacceptable Materials
